Oiiii!
April is shaping up to be a crazzzy busy month. After the fun birthday adventures and Dia da Mulher, it was crunch time for the REDES TOT!
April 12-13:
We held our regional Training of Trainers for the REDES project (girls empowerment). It was attended by a handful of volunteers and facilitators from Tete, Manica and Sofala Provinces. TOT is a conference meant to train facilitators to run a REDES group in their community. The veteran facilitators led the majority of the conference and all the sessions with an exception of a few logistic and informational sessions ran by PCVs.

After TOT, I took a short trip with my site mates up North to Quelimane and Gurué. Throughout my service, I had heard about how beautiful Gurué was and I really wanted to make my way up there before leaving Mozambique. Luckily, we received approval from PC to travel up and were able to have a successful trip!

When I was up North during the end of the year, I met some cool ex-pats at the Lake through some mutual friends (PCVs up North): Nils, Claudia and Hugo. They live in Gurué and I was able to see them while I was up there. They generously hosted us in their house and made a delicious matapa lasagna that was pretty fucking unreal. Mmmm!
